Taylor Alison Swift, popularly known as Taylor Swift is an American singer, songwriter, musician and actress. Born on December 13, 1989, she is basically known for narrative songs about her personal life. Having around 111 million followers, she is one of the most followed users on Instagram.

She was born and raised in Pennsylvania, and then shifted to Nashville. At the age of 10, she already started learning to play the guitar. And when she was 16, she was granted the opportunity to make a contract with “Country Label Big Machine Records”. Moreover, she was the youngest songwriter ever in the history hired by the Sony music publishing.


Taylor Alison Swift was born to Scott Kingsley Swift, a financial advisor and Andrea Gardner Swift, a homemaker and a former mutual fund marketing executive. She spent the most of her childhood living on the Christmas tree farm in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Interest for music was developed in her at the tender age of 9. Since her demo got rejected by Nashville record labels, so she thought she needs a different way to do things and started writing her songs and learning the guitar in her early teens.


At the age of 14, she left Nashville in order to secure an artist development deal with RCA records. She released her first singles “Tim McGraw” which was among the top 10 hits in country music. This was widely accepted to lovers of country music and this kick-started her career.


She upped her career game in the world of country music and her major breakthrough came in the year 2006 when she had her self-titled debut album “Taylor Swift” which sold more than 5 million copies. The debut album was ranked as the fifth position on the Billboard and it received generally positive reviews from critics. It also earned her the Horizon Award from the Country Music Association. In the year 2008, her second album ‘Fearless’, topped the charts in the United States, Canada, and New Zealand. This album hit the top of both the country and pop charts and it managed to stay that way for 11 weeks. It also became the United States best-selling album, in 2009. It had thirteen of its songs within the top forty of the Billboard Hot 100. Two of her songs ‘You Belong with Me’, and ” Fearless’, got to the top ten in the United States while In Canada, from her soundtrack of the year ‘Valentine’s Day Soundtrack. Taylor was named “Entertainer of the Year” by the County Music Association in November 2009, making her the youngest artist ever to win this. In the year 2010, her album “Fearless” won her the 52nd Grammy Awards for Album of the Year making her the youngest artist, yet again, to win it.
