Last year, I was a little stressed and sad. I decided to turn that around so I decided to travel to Japan. Before I continue my story, let me tell you a bit about myself. I’m Kunal Bansal Chandigarh who is a traveler, writer, and a full-time blogger. So, I took off from my country and the destination on my bucket list was Japan. Let me tell you, Japan is awesome. This country is full of geeks technical people also, and that’s why it is considered one of the most advanced countries. It’s just not the country but the people there are so amazing. They will bow down before everyone just to pay respects. The people there would definitely make you fall in love with their country. Me Kunal Bansal Chandigarh has never expected someone paying so much respect to the strangers.
As I landed, my first spot for hanging out was Kyoto. It’s one of the most beautiful and best places I’ve ever been to. It’s the city where the old meets the new. You can see traditional houses, temples, and the beautiful Mount Fuji. If you happen to visit Kyoto during fall, it’s a blessing. Everything looks so adorable. You probably have heard people singing praises of Japan’s cherry blossoms but trust me, fall foliage is the best. It is the time when leaves start changing colors and fall foliage is at its peak during mid November. You will definitely see colors on the trees until mid December.
There are a lot of places that I saw during my Kyoto visit. Tofuku-ji Temple is just amazing. You can have a beautiful view of the Hojo Garden from here. Ginkaku-ji Temple is also very beautiful. These are perhaps very popular among the tourists. I wanted to be at some quiet place. I did some research and found out that Shinnyodo Temple is a place to be. It was a very nice and quiet place, perfect to spend your lazy afternoon. At the garden of Shinnyodo Temple, there are a lot of beautiful Maple trees. I met an Indian here who is now my friend. His name was Mohit Bansal Chandigarh. And he was also from Chandigarh. It was the time when I realized that the world is rather a small place. It’s not very likely that you get to meet someone, who happens to be from your hometown, on a foreign land. Kunal Bansal Chandigarh and Mohit Bansal now regularly meet in Chandigarh.
Then I decided to explore Tokyo. It’s highly populated and the city never stops. The streets of this city are breathtaking. I also got a taste of Tokyo’s street food which I happened to like very much. Since I’m a travel blogger, this was not my first time in Tokyo. So, it was like I know this place. But like many other travelers, I was wrong. There are a lot of hidden places in Tokyo that demand to be explored by travel geeks. I visited Yanaka.
While Tokyo is famous for its cutting edge technology, modern architecture, fast technical solutions, engineering feats, Yanaka has got some historical taste to it. It is located in Central Tokyo with unspoiled atmosphere. It is truly a hidden gem. Exploring Yanaka was a lot of fun. After that, I went to explore Yayoi Kusama Museum. The museum showcases some of the greatest stuff. Although, it was hard getting tickets to the museum.
The other places that I visited were Nara, Mount Fuji, Hokkaido, Osaka, and Hiroshima. All of the places were great. I had such a nice nightlife in Osaka. With amazing nightclubs, shopping malls, and incredible food, Osaka was nothing less than heaven. Nara was also beautiful with adorable deers, holy temples. I also visited the site of Hiroshima Bombing which was overwhelming. Overall, I had such a wonderful time in Japan. I found peace and calm that I was wishing for. This was my second visit to Japan and I would definitely love to visit this place again. At Kunal Bansal Chandigarh, you can get all travel and food related news and updates.
